Foundation Programme provides a unique opportunity to deepen our understanding and experience of the spiritual path through studying and meditating systematically with a group of like-minded people.
The purpose of the Foundation Programme is to provide a systematic presentation of particular subjects of Mahayana Buddhism and to enable practitioners to deepen their knowledge and experience of Buddhism.
Everyone, whether religious or non-religious, is looking for happiness all the time and wants to be free from problems and suffering permanently. We can fulfil these wishes through understanding and practising the instructions given in this book.
VENERABLE GESHE KELSANG GYATSO RINPOCHE
THE NEW EIGHT STEPS TO HAPPINESS
Starting 1 March 2021!
The teachings will be based on the inspiring book The New Eight Steps to Happiness written by the contemporary meditation master and founder of Maitreya Buddhist Centre, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
This inspiring book explains how to meditate on eight beautiful verses that comprise one of Buddhism’s best-loved teachings, Eight Verses of Training the Mind, which has inspired generations of Buddhist practitioners for almost a thousand years.
Composed by the great Tibetan Bodhisattva, Geshe Langri Tangpa, this short poem shows how we can transform all life’s difficulties into valuable spiritual insights.
Learn practical ways in which we can use this timeless wisdom to find meaning and lasting happiness in our busy modern lives.
You are warmly welcome to join this programme – we will be starting this book from 1 March 2021 but you can join at any time.
The Foundation Programme is not a drop-in class,
enrollment is required. Everyone is welcome to sign
up and experience the benefits of attending a
regular study programme.
