Meditation Classes

with James

Teachings on the 11 Virtuous Mental Factors and Guided Meditations with James Baskerville.

(Video catch-up available for 3 days)

Happiness is not something that comes spontaneously. We need to know what

are the causes of happiness. Once we understand these causes we are empowered

to begin our own inner training. Buddha taught the ’11 virtuous mental factors’,

these are states of mind or ways of seeing the world that give rise to peace and clarity

both now and in the future.

Each week James will give an explanation of one of these trainings, give practical

advice on how to integrate them into your everyday life and guide a meditation to take

these trainings deep into our own mind.

You can attend the whole course or book for individual classes.

what to expect

Guided Meditation

Each class begins with guided breathing meditation to help let go of distractions and settle the mind into an experience of inner peace.

Buddhist Teaching

The teacher will then give practical advice, based on the topic of the class, explaining how we can integrate Buddha’s timeless wisdom into our busy daily lives.

The class will conclude with a second guided meditation to help us take the teaching to heart. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

The Wednesday Evening Class is led by Resident Teacher of Jampel Centre, James Baskerville.
